Rebuilding this site in a weekend
Static HTML, one config file and a variable font. Notes on keeping a personal site small.

I rebuilt this site with one rule: no feature that needs a server.
- Astro renders everything to static HTML. JavaScript only ships for the hero and the theme switch.
- One config file holds my name, links and colours, so a redesign is mostly a colour change.
- A variable font does the heavy lifting in the hero — weight follows your cursor.
// the whole hero interaction is ~40 lines
const weight = 400 + 500 * Math.max(0, 1 - distance / radius);
Small sites stay alive because they’re cheap to change.
